COMPACTOR FINISHER
With proper mix-design and suitable workability concrete roads / runways of up to 500 mm. have been adequately compacted with 2/3 passes on a number of construction jobs all over the world.
To offer maximum flexibility the travel speed of the machine can be steplessly adjusted. The number and the stroke of the oscillations of the correcting beam are each independently adjustable.
Frame
- Sturdy design with minimum of sag. Within certain limits the frame is telescopic. (3.5 m to 13.25 m max.)You must replace correcting beams etc. with longer ones if you telescope out the frame.
- The two wheels in each wheel casing are driven by chain through a closed oil bath gearbox. The drive on each side of the machine can be operated separately to allow steering around curves
Power source
- 63 KVA diesel generator
Control panel
- All the electrical apparatus of the machine is concentrated in one box located on the side of the machine
- The operator walks along side of the machine and is therefore able to keep an eye on the job and react immediately to change the paddle, vibrating beam and the correcting beam.
Paddle
- Tubular construction with a number of blades, designed to strike off or move forward any concrete above the preset height
- The paddle is chain driven through an oil bath gearbox. The beam turns at 50 rpm.
- Each beam end can be adjusted to 17.5 cm below or 20 cm. above the height of the finished concrete
Vibrating beam
- The machine is isolated from the vibration of the beam while exerting a downward pressure on the concrete, maintaining continually the pre-set position of the beam
- Each beam end can be adjusted to 17.5 cm below or 5 cm. above the height of the finished concrete
- The beam is angled to ensure the concrete is always subjected to the same amount of vibration and pressure. In this way the danger of closely following variations in density is avoided.
- Heavy duty vibrators are mounted on the beam and spin at 4000 rpm producing a force of 2700 kg
Correcting beam
- This is of the box type and has a finishing sole plate on the bottom which is fully adjustable to ensure a perfect finish on the level concrete
- The beam is carried at each end on rollers and should be set prior to starting concreting to ensure the required level is left behind
- The oscillation movement is driven by electric motor gearbox and is adjustable between 25 and 60 oscillations per minute.
- The stroke of the oscillation can also be alerted between 55 and 120 mm.
